World Health Organization, previously reluctant to call COVID-19 a pandemic, now says it is "deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity and by the alarming levels of inaction," WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.

“In the past two weeks the number of cases outside China has increased thirteenfold and the number of affected countries has tripled."  He added, “In the days and weeks ahead, we expect to see the number of cases, the number of deaths and the number of affected countries to climb even higher.”

CNBC reports 121,000 cases now spread across several continents.  There are now at least 37 states in the U.S. with confirmed Coronavirus cases, including Michigan, where state officials refer to two tested cases as "presumed positive" as they await final confirmation from the CDC.
