Due to the growing number of Coronavirus cases in the Durand area, Durand Loaves & Fishes has announced it will temporarily close.

"While we regret not being available at this time of need, the safety of our recipients and our volunteers must be a priority," a statement from the food pantry reads.

"We thank you for the generous donations to the food pantry and assure you they will be put to good use as soon as we can reopen."

Durand Loaves & Fishes is a nonprofit organization supported entirely by donations, governed and staffed exclusively by volunteers.

The pantry plans to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
